Omer Raheem is an American Board-Certified urologist specializing in men’s sexual health, male infertility and andrology and director of Mens Wellness program at the University of Chicago medical center. He also holds a joint appointment as an assistant professor of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Chicago Medicine. Dr Raheem completed his residency in urology at the University of California, San Diego, and a fellowship at the University of Washington.
He is currently chair of the ISSM webinar series, chair of the SMSNA international liaison committee and Associate Editor of Sexual Medicine, Sexual Medicine Reviews, official journals of the Sexual Medicine Society of North America.
Doctor van Renterghem graduated from the Catholic University of Leuven as a doctor of medicine, surgery and obstetrics in 1987. He then trained as a urologist at the University Hospital of the Catholic University of Leuven, Saint Martin's Hospital in Kortrijk and the University Hospital of St. Radboud, which belongs to the Catholic University ,of Nijmegen.
Alongside general urology, he has also covered research into andrology and impotence and urological prosthetic surgery.
Professor Doctor Van Renterghem is a member of the Belgian Urology Association (BVU) and the European Association of Urology (EAU), a Fellow of the European Board of Urology (FEBU), and a Full member of the EORTC. He is a member of the Urology Approval Board.
Professor Doctor Van Renterghem is a member of the Executive Committee of the European Society of Sexual Medicin (ESSM), European Society of Genito Urinary Reconstructive Surgery (ESGURS). He is also a professor at the Hasselt University faculty of medicine and a consultant urologist at the University Hospitals in Leuven.
Dr Wai Gin (Don) Lee (he/him), MBChB, PhD, FRACS completed his Urological training in Australia followed by sub-specialty training in Andrology and Penile Reconstruction at the Institute of Urology, University College London Hospital as the recipient of an Australasian Urological Foundation Travelling Fellowship. He was invited to join the department as a Consultant Urological Surgeon and Andrologist upon completion of his Fellowship.
His practice encompasses all aspects of male sexual health including erectile dysfunction, male infertility and Peyronie’s disease. He has a specialist interest in penile prosthetic surgery and penile reconstruction (phalloplasty) for gender affirmation surgery and those assigned male at birth.
He serves on the Executive Committee (Board) of the European and British Societies for Sexual Medicine (ESSM and BSSM). He is the Co-Chair for the International Society for Sexual Medicine Scientific Review Committee. Teaching is a passion of his and he enjoys sharing his experience as faculty at the European School of Urology and as invited faculty at national and international conferences and Masterclasses. He also jointly chairs the North Central London Andrology Working Group.
He has published multiple peer-reviewed research articles and book chapters. Additionally, he is an invited reviewer for European Urology, Journal of Urology, BJU International, Journal of Sexual Medicine and the International Journal of Impotence Research, among others.
Dr. Rachel Rubin is a board-certified urologist and sexual medicine specialist. She is an assistant clinical professor of Urology at Georgetown University and owns her private practice in the Washington DC region. She is one of only a handful of physicians fellowship trained in male and female sexual medicine. Dr. Rubin is a clinician, researcher, and vocal educator in the field of sexual medicine. She completed her medical and undergraduate training at Tufts University, her urology training at Georgetown University, and her fellowship training under Dr. Irwin Goldstein in San Diego. In addition to being education chair for the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH), she also serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal Sexual Medicine Reviews. Her work has been featured in the NYT, PBS and NPR.
Dr. Jonathan Clavell is a board-certified urologist practicing in Houston, Texas, USA. He is fellowship-trained in sexual medicine and an Assistant Professor in Surgery for the University of Texas in Houston – Division of Urology. His areas of expertise include penile prosthetics, treatment of erectile and orgasmic dysfunctions, complex Peyronie’s disease, penile rehabilitation after prostate cancer surgery, and the treatment of urinary symptoms for prostate enlargement. He is currently one of the highest volume surgeons in penile implant surgery in the United States and the world.
Dr Clavell earned his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus and went on to pursue his General Surgery Internship in the Department of General Surgery at this same institution. He completed his Urology residency as well as his fellowship in Sexual Medicine and Prosthetic Urology at the University of Texas McGovern Medical School and MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
Dr. Clavell works to continue his life-long learning and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and lectures both nationally and internationally on treatment for Peyronie’s disease, penile rehabilitation after prostate cancer and penile implant surgery. He is currently the Section Editor of the AUA Core Curriculum for the sections of Erectile Dysfunction and Peyronie’s Disease and the Video Journal of Sexual Medicine for the section of Penile Prosthesis. Dr. Clavell is also part of the editorial board for the Asian Journal of Andrology and reviewer for world-renowned journals such as the Journal of Urology, Journal of Sexual Medicine and Sexual Medicine Reviews.
