Scientific Program Committee 2026

The World Meeting on Sexual Medicine is scheduled for February 2026.

The ISSM/ESSM joint Scientific World Meeting takes place in Porto, Portugal

The Scientific Program Committee consists of 6 subcommittees.

• Each subcommittee consists of an international and multidisciplinary team of experts under the leadership of 2 co-chairs.
• The co-chairs for each subcommittee will be selected based on the recommendations from the ISSM Affiliate Societies and/ or the Scientific Program Chairs.
• Subcommittee members can apply for a position within one of the subcommittees.
• Each subcommittee member is expected to propose topics that align with the overarching theme and to identify esteemed experts from their region who can present these topics at the World Meeting on Sexual Medicine.

To fulfill a role in a subcommittee, we request you to meet the following criteria:

• Subcommittee Members are responsible for contributing to the development of a high-quality program and being responsive to assignments.
• Disclose any relevant conflict of interest (COI).
• Applicants must be ISSM full members or ISSM Joint Members in good standing, before the deadline (not a member yet? Apply here);
• A completed (online) application form including your CV and motivation must be submitted before December 12, 2024.

Leading up to the joint Scientific Meeting, each subcommittee member will regularly convene via ZOOM with its members and co-chairs to ensure timely submission of all contributions.

• Subcommittee Members will conduct comprehensive research to offer the best possible recommendations. They commit to generating and delivering all completed assignments and necessary information before the specified and agreed-upon deadlines, as outlined by the co-chairs.
• Committee Chairs and Members must disclose any pertinent conflicts of interest (COI).
• The (Sub-) Committee, (Sub-) Committee Chair, and (Sub-) Committee Members collectively are expected to adhere to all deadlines unless there are extenuating circumstances.
  

• Committee Members must have completed training at the Masters, MD, and/or or PhD level.
• Committee Members must be an expert in the topic of their respective Committee.

The evaluations will be reviewed by the chairs of the Scientific Program Committee 2026.
